Playing the infinite game

I take my 4-year-old nephew very serious, when he tells me about monsters and dragons. His world is as real as mine. We both are merely believers for a while. I am that „delusional guy“. I am that annoying friend that will explain stuff in terms like „vibration“ and „energy“. And yes: I am talking to trees sometimes. Telling them occasionally how beautiful they are. But not out loud of course – that would be weird right?! In my late childhood I was fighting that kind of sensitivity believing it was not masculine enough, not rational enough, not worldly enough. But today I have learned how to embrace this holistic kind of perception. Too many man had to conform to some narrow idea of masculinity. I define it for myself. Yes, i keep playing some of those restrictive games we all agreed upon, but predominantly I play the infinite game of being nature experiencing itself. Finite games produce winners and losers – Infinite games create players who keep the game going.
